Fábio Werneck

Fábio Werneck has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Fábio began their career as a Legal Counsel at OGX Oil and Gas, where they worked on drafting and negotiating contracts related to oil and gas activities. Fábio then moved to Mattos Filho, Veiga Filho, Marrey Jr. e Quiroga Advogados, where they focused on infrastructure and oil & gas practices, assisting with M&A, contracts, and regulatory matters.

In 2013, Fábio transitioned into a teaching role at FGV, where they served as a Teaching Assistant and Researcher for the LL.M on Business Law program. Fábio was responsible for assisting professors, creating exams, and researching various topics related to corporate and bankruptcy law.

In 2015, Fábio joined SBM Offshore as a Senior Legal Counsel, where they drafted and negotiated commercial agreements and provided legal analysis on contractual claims. Fábio also handled various legal matters, including civil and labor litigation, corporate law, real estate, maritime, environmental, customs, and insurance.

Fábio later ventured into entrepreneurship, founding two companies: bolo doamor, a cake and desserts business, and Hop Lab, a pub and craft brewery. In these roles, they oversaw operations, business development, marketing, events, production, and legal aspects of both businesses.

In 2018, Fábio joined WeWork as a Business Manager, where they exemplified the company's core values and mission. Fábio developed the first WeWork in Alphaville/SP, managed sales goals, ensured smooth operations, and maintained company standards.

Currently, Fábio works at Selina, starting as the General Manager of Selina Madalena and later becoming the General Manager of Selina Lapa Rio. Fábio then took on the role of Cluster General Manager, responsible for the strategy, operations, and P&L of six Selina locations. In this position, they managed various departments, recruited and trained employees, achieved company budgets and goals, and had full responsibility for the operations and P&L of $15 million.

Fábio Werneck has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, which they completed from 2006 to 2011. In 2012 and 2013, they pursued an LL.M degree in Business Law, with an emphasis on Corporate Law and Capital Market, at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Additionally, in 2009 and 2010, Fábio completed an Erasmus program at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, focusing on Introduction to German Law, Private International Law, and Law and Philosophy. Fábio attended Colégio de São Bento from 1994 to 2005, completing both High School and Elementary School. Fábio also spent a year as an exchange student at Rustburg High School, earning a High School Diploma in 2004. Fábio holds a certification in Emotional Intelligence from Escola Conquer, obtained in 2020.
