Heather Nutting has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. Heather began their career in 2007 as a Team Lead/Medical Technologist Microbiology at LabCorp. In 2014, they moved on to Cleveland Clinic, where they were a Microbiology Supervisor. Heather then moved to Florida Hospital Tampa in 2017, also as a Microbiology Supervisor. In 2018, they were an Infectious Disease Specialist at GenMark Diagnostics. Heather currently works as the Director of Clinical Laboratory Services at Selux Diagnostics, Inc.
Heather Nutting obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Florida State University between 2002 and 2006. Heather then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration. In July 2014, they obtained a Medical Technologist certification from American Medical Technologists, and is currently working towards a Technologist in Microbiology certification from ASCP.

Earlier, better-informed treatment decisions will save lives, improve patient outcomes, decrease hospital lengths of stay and hospital-acquired infections, and help combat the global antibiotic resistance epidemic.
