Ken Iwasa

Ken Iwasa has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ken started as a Software Engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft in 1998, where they participated in all phases of real-time, embedded software development. Ken then worked at Comcast from 2006 to 2011 as a Software Engineer, designing and implementing a ranking system and a category-based retrieval servlet for entertainment assets. At StreamSage, from 2006 to 2011, they designed and implemented a ranking system for Comcast's set-top box search and worked on a category-based retrieval servlet for news clip browsing. At e-Management, from 2011 to 2012 and again from 2016 to 2017, they served as a Senior Java Engineer, designing and implementing web applications for the Department of Energy and the Department of Transportation. Ken also worked at Carr Astronautics Corporation as a Software Engineer from 2012 to 2014. At Applied Technical Systems, from 2014 to 2016, they developed web services for processing USPTO payments. Ken'smost recent role was at Unisys, where they worked as an Applications Developer from 2017 to 2019, developing microservices and image batch processing utilities for the US Customs and Border Protection biometrics project. Currently, they work at Semantic AI as a Professional Services Software Engineer since 2019.
