Karolina Zapadka

Karolina Zapadka, PhD MBA, is a seasoned life science investor and entrepreneur with extensive experience in biotechnology and healthcare. Currently a Life Science Investor at Parkwalk Advisors since November 2021, Karolina has been instrumental in raising over £400 million and investing in more than 150 companies. Prior to this role, Karolina founded 37 Clinical Ltd., leading its investment strategy and establishing initial clinical trials. As the Founder and Head of the Life Sciences Accelerator at Babraham Research Campus, Karolina facilitated significant funding for startups in the bioscience sector. With a background in business development at RXCELERATE and the Innovation Forum, Karolina has a track record of supporting scientific entrepreneurship. Earlier career highlights include a postdoctoral researcher role at MedImmune, where Karolina contributed to the development of multiple drug candidates and led research in metabolic science and neurodegeneration. Academically, Karolina holds a PhD in Molecular Biophysics from the University of Cambridge and multiple degrees in chemistry from prestigious institutions including HEC Paris and Lund University.
