Sung Yeow Kang

Sung Yeow Kang has extensive experience in engineering and management, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Planning and Standards at Sembcorp Industries Ltd since January 2022, focusing on asset performance, sustainability, GHG accounting, and renewable energy technical standards. Prior experience at ExxonMobil includes roles as a Reliability Leader, Fixed Equipment and Inspection Section Supervisor, and Senior Project Engineer, where leadership of a multicultural team and successful project delivery were key responsibilities. Early career experience includes positions as an Inspection Engineer at ExxonMobil and Special Process Engineer at Hamilton Sundstrand. Sung Yeow Kang holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Materials Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, along with a Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
