Victor Kats is a Healthcare Technology and Services investor and operator with 25+ years in venture capital & private equity, operations, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, and corporate development. Victor is passionate about improving the healthcare industry to significantly enhance the experience for patients and families and for caregivers.

Prior to Seminal Healthcare, Victor was a Managing Director and Healthcare Technology Practice leader at Ascension Ventures (AV). Over his 12 years and four funds at AV, Victor constructed and managed a strategic portfolio of investments, many of which have helped transform the healthcare industry in areas like self-service patient intake, remote patient monitoring, clinical communications and value-based care. His network includes a deep bench of provider organizations such as Ascension, Intermountain and CommonSpirit as well as managed care and pharma. Victor was a Director of Phreesia, Inc. (IPO in 2019; NYSE:PHR), Vivify Health, Inc. (acquired by Optum/United Healthcare), Voalte, Inc. (acquired by Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc.), VisitPay, Inc. (acquired by R1 RCM Inc.), and MedVentive, Inc. (acquired by McKesson Corp.)

Prior to AV, Victor led corporate development and strategy at Allscripts, a $2 billion publicly-traded electronic health record and practice management/revenue cycle company. Prior to Allscripts, Victor led business development at Misys Healthcare, a $600 million revenue healthcare software provider in acute, ambulatory and post-acute settings which merged with Allscripts in 2008. Prior to Misys, Victor served as Vice President with Lehman Brothers Inc. in the Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group in New York.

Victor received his B.S. degree in Business Administration with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
