Mandy Grewal

First Vice Chairperson at SEMCOG

Mandy Grewal has been Supervisor of Pittsfield Charter Township since November 2008. Grewal was appointed by Governor Whitmer to the Michigan Municipal Services Authority. She also serves on the board of the Huron River Watershed Council, Therapeutic Riding Inc., and on the Executive Committee for Ann Arbor SPARK where she co-chairs the Public Sector Committee. Grewal is the Local Unit of Government Ambassador for Safe House Center, serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Washtenaw County. She is on the leadership team of the Saline Area School's Bridge to Civility initiative. At SEMCOG, she serves on the Executive Committee and General Assembly, and is past chair of SEMCOG’s Finance and Budget Committee. Prior to being Supervisor, Grewal served two terms as Washtenaw County Commissioner representing Pittsfield Township. She has a Ph.D. in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan. She is also a graduate of the Michigan State University’s Political Leadership Program and a graduate of the Senior Executives in Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
