Surya Iyer

Surya Iyer is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, currently serving as President and COO at Polar Semiconductor since July 2008, while also being a member of the Board of Managers. In addition to this role, Surya Iyer participates in the SEMI organization as a member of the Smart Manufacturing Americas Chapter and the Governing Council of the Fab Owners Alliance. An adjunct professor of engineering at the University of St. Thomas since July 2007, Surya Iyer is also the founder of 3NITRIDE LLC. Previous experience includes positions at Cypress Semiconductor as a Process Development and Integration Engineer and at Applied Materials as a Senior Manager in Engineering and Technology. Surya Iyer holds multiple degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, including a PhD from Washington University in St. Louis and a B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, alongside participation in various leadership and management programs from the University of Pennsylvania and University of St. Thomas.
