Semiconductor Research
Marisol Valdez has a diverse work experience starting from 2017. In 2017, they worked as a Research Assistant at the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service (ARS). In 2018, Marisol had an internship as a Nuclear Forensics Engineering intern at The University of Texas at Austin. The following year, they participated in the Tapia-MolSSI Computational Workshop at Rice University. From 2016 to 2020, Marisol worked as a Research Assistant and Peer Tutor at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. In 2020, they became a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas. In 2022, Marisol joined the SRC Research Scholars Program as a Research Scholar. Currently, in 2023, they are an intern in GEM Electron Microscopy at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
Marisol Valdez completed their undergraduate education from 2016 to 2020 at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where they obtained a degree in Chemistry. Marisol then pursued further studies at The University of Texas at Dallas from 2020 to 2025, earning a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Material Science and Engineering.
