Usman Zain ul Abedin is a Firmware Engineer with experience at Semidynamics since August 2024 and previously at Intensivate and Xcelerium. At Xcelerium, Usman worked as an Embedded Software Engineer focusing on digital frontend, JTAG, and RISC-V debug modules. Prior to these roles, Usman contributed as an Embedded System Engineer at the Micro Electronics Research Lab, where responsibilities included creating a Software Development Kit for System-on-Chip and developing a System-on-Chip generator. Usman also completed an internship that involved developing a 5-stage pipelined core using Chisel and writing bare-metal C programs. As a mentee at The Linux Foundation, Usman ported the V8 JavaScript engine to the RISC-V 32-bit architecture. Usman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from NED University of Engineering and Technology, earned in 2021.
