Victor Megias Torres

Victor Megias Torres is an experienced tomato breeder currently working at Semillas Fitó since March 2012, focusing on genetic improvement of tomatoes. Previously, Victor held the position of Technical and Commercial Manager at Philoseed España from October 2008 to March 2012, where responsibilities included the development and commercialization of hybrid tomato varieties and biotechnological products for agriculture. Academic qualifications include participation in the European Plant Breeding Academy at the University of California, Davis from 2019 to 2021, a plant breeding course at Wageningen University & Research in 2019, and multiple degrees from Universidad de Almería, including a Master's in Agricultural Engineering and a Bachelor's in Agricultural Engineering in Mechanization. In addition, Victor holds a Bachelor in Horticulture and Agribusiness from HAS Green Academy.
