Robert DeMelo

Robert DeMelo is the Director of Transmission & Project Services at Seminole Electric Cooperative, Inc., where experience spans over 16 years in various leadership roles focusing on electric transmission matters, budget management, and compliance with NERC Reliability Standards. DeMelo has successfully managed substantial transmission service budgets exceeding $180 million annually, provided expert testimony during regulatory hearings, and led initiatives resulting in significant cost savings through strategic negotiations. Additional roles included oversight of engineering teams, capital project execution, and representation on key reliability committees. Education includes a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida and recognition as a graduate with honors from Land O Lakes High School.
