Ahmet Ozcan

CEO and Cofounder at Semiotic AI

Ahmet Ozcan has a diverse work experience spanning from 2003 to the present. In 2003, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Boston University, where they conducted and supervised real-time synchrotron X-ray studies of semiconductor surfaces during processing. In 2006, they joined IBM as a Principal Investigator at the Research Frontiers Institute, where they worked on machine intelligence projects. Ahmet then served as Manager of Machine Intelligence, Senior Scientist at IBM Almaden Research Center, Senior Engineer/Scientist at IBM T.J. Watson Research, Senior Engineer/Technical Team Lead, and Senior Engineer in Process Development and Integration. In 2020, they became the CEO and Cofounder of Semiotic Labs. In 2021, they joined Activate as an Entrepreneurial Research Fellow at Cyclotron Road.

Ahmet Ozcan received their Bachelor's degree in Physics from Boğaziçi University in 1998. Afterward, they went on to pursue a PhD in Physics from Boston University, which they completed in 2003. In 2018, they obtained certifications for Project Management: The Basics for Success from Coursera, and Master Inventor and Plateau from IBM.
