Christian Winther

Christian Winther has extensive work experience in procurement and leadership roles. Christian is currently the Head of Procurement at Semler Gruppen A/S. Previously, they worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where they held various positions, including Transformation & Change Lead, Head of Capability & Excellence, Head of Analytics & Intelligence, and Transformation Lead for Procurement Process & Systems. Before that, they were the General Manager of Inland Operations at Maersk Line and held multiple roles at Maersk Procurement, including General Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Strategic Sourcing Manager. Christian also has experience in project management and finance from their time at Maersk Group. Additionally, Winther served as a Sergeant in Den Kongelige Livgarde.

Christian Winther's education history includes multiple degrees and certifications. From 1998 to 1999, they attended Hærens Sergentskole, Sønderborg, where they obtained a degree in Sergent. Later, from 2001 to 2006, they pursued a Higher Diploma (HD) in Finance at Copenhagen Business School. In 2001, they also commenced studies at A.P. Moller - Maersk A/S, focusing on a variety of subjects such as finance, economics, investment, law, cross-culture, and chartering, and completed their degree, known as MISE, in 2003. In 2008 to 2009, Christian Winther completed an Advanced Procurement program at McKinsey and Co. / Maersk Procurement.
