Derek Wynne

Derek Wynne has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of systems engineering and assurance. Derek started their career in 2008 as a Systems Integration and Engineering & Assurance Consultant at THALES UK LIMITED. Derek then worked as the Head of Systems & Assurance at Balfour Beatty plc and Transport for London before joining Fujitsu Global as the Head of Systems Engineering. Derek later became the Programme Manager at Airbus and then a Systems Engineering Consultant at General Dynamics Land Systems. Derek also worked at Network Rail as a Principal Engineer and later as a Systems Engineering Consultant. Derek continued their career at OLRT Constructors as the Systems Engineering & Systems Assurance Manager and currently holds the position of Director at SEMP Ltd.

Derek Wynne started their education at King Edward VII Grammar School, where they completed O and A Levels from 1977 to 1985. Derek then attended Preston College from 1985 to 1987, where they pursued A-Levels. After that, they enrolled at the University of Central Lancashire from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a BSc 2.1Hons degree in Applied Physics.
