Rene Raagas

Rene Raagas, CPA has a strong and diverse work experience in various accounting and finance roles. Rene began their career as an Auditor in Public Accounting from 2000 to 2003. Rene then worked as a Consolidation Supervisor at SAIC from 2003 to 2006. After that, they joined Sempra Energy where they held several positions including Senior Accountant Financial Reporting from 2006 to 2010, Principal Financial Systems Analyst from 2010 to 2013, and Accounting Supervisor from 2013 to 2015. Rene later moved to Sempra Renewables where they served as a Finance Manager from 2015 to 2016. Rene then returned to Sempra Energy as a Special Projects Manager from 2016 to 2017. Currently, they are working at Sempra Infrastructure, where they have held various roles including Finance Project Manager, Manager - Accounting Systems & Controls, Manager - Accounting Operations, and Director - Accounting Operations. In their roles at Sempra Infrastructure, they have been responsible for leading and setting strategic direction for accounting operations, overseeing financial systems implementation and support, and driving process improvement initiatives.

Rene Raagas, CPA attended San Diego State University from 1998 to 2000 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In addition to this degree, Rene has also obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification from the California Board of Accountancy in March 2005. Furthermore, Rene obtained the MB-310 Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Financials certification from Microsoft in October 2019.
