Christian Hines has held a number of roles in the legal industry since 2007. Christian began their career as a Summer Associate at Bryan Cave, followed by a Summer Associate role at Brinks Hofer Gilson and Lione in 2008. In 2009, they were promoted to Associate at the same firm. In 2011, they served as a Judicial Intern for the United States Courts. Christian also served on the Young Professional's Board for the Lawyers' Committee for Better Housing in 2012. In the same year, they were hired as an Associate at McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Judicial Clerk to the Hon. Pauline Newman at the U.S. Court of Appeals. In 2017, they were hired as Senior Corporate Counsel (IP) at ServiceNow. Most recently, in 2019, they became Co-Founder & CEO at Semy.
Christian Hines attended Washington University in St. Louis from 2001-2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science. Christian then returned to Washington University in St. Louis from 2006-2009 and earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.). In 2010, they obtained a certification as a Member of the United States Patent Bar from the USPTO.
