Louis Vogel

Louis Vogel currently serves as a Sénateur at the Sénat since October 2023 and is a member of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques at the Institut de France since January 2020. As an associé fondateur of Vogel & Vogel since 1990, Louis Vogel has maintained a prominent role in the legal field. Previously, Louis Vogel was the Maire de Melun from April 2016 to October 2023 and served as Président of the Communauté d'Agglomération Melun Val de Seine during the same period. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Président of the Conférence des présidents d'université - CPU from December 2010 to December 2012 and as Président of Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas from August 2006 to June 2012. Louis Vogel holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Droit de la concurrence from Yale University and a degree from Sciences Po, specializing in political science and government.
