Ashton Simmons

Ashton Simmons is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Dots, a position they have held since 2024. Previously, they served as Counsel for Regulatory and Compliance at Brex and as Regulatory Counsel at Adyen. Ashton has extensive experience in regulatory analysis and compliance, having worked as a Staff Attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and held several internships with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. They earned their Doctor of Law (J.D.) cum laude from American University, Washington College of Law in 2014.
