Shailesh Nalawadi

Shailesh Nalawadi is the current Head of Product at SendBird, and they have an impressive work history. Shailesh was the CEO of Mavin, Inc. from August 2013 to December 2017, during which time they were responsible for the overall vision, fund raising, sales, and recruiting for the company. Some of their notable achievements during their time at Mavin include successfully negotiating with telecom regulators to gain approval to launch in India, building a 20 person company located across offices in Bangalore & Mountain View, and raising a combined $5M across two investment rounds.

After their time at Mavin, Shailesh went on to work at Google as the Head of Firebase Growth products from April 2018 to October 2020. Shailesh was also previously a Product Manager for Maps & Street View at Google from January 2012 to July 2013, and the Lead Product Manager for Image Recognition Technologies from January 2007 to December 2011. Prior to their time at Google, Shailesh was a Sr Project Manager at Digital Fuel from January 2004 to December 2007.

Shailesh Nalawadi has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a M.A.Sc from the University of Michigan, and a GCE A Level from Raffles Institution.
