Miquel León

Miquel León has extensive work experience in the transportation and logistics industry. Miquel is currently working as the Director Catalunya at Sending Transporte y Logística, where they focus on urgent transport and logistics, prioritizing speed and flexibility. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, Miquel worked as the Gerente Operaciones Zona NorEste at CTT Express.

In 2019, they were the Manager of Operaciones & Business Development at NEXE Outsourcing Professional, where they managed the Outsourcing Division of a significant multinational group with a presence in over 30 countries. Miquel specialized in reverse logistics and the management of e-commerce and retail textile returns.

From 2011 to 2019, Miquel held the position of Regional Key Account Manager at CHEP, an Australian multinational company specializing in pallet pool management. Miquel led a team of 7 account executives and managed the Catalunya, Aragón, Andorra, Valencia, and Baleares regions. Miquel fostered relationships with various distribution chains and ensured asset control.

Miquel also has experience at Miquel Alimentación Grup, where they served as the Director of Plataforma Logística. This leading food distribution group had an annual turnover of 1.2 billion euros. In this role, they managed a 48-platform logistics center.

In the early stages of their career, Miquel worked at DHL as a Project & Property Manager from 2005 to 2007. Miquel was responsible for project management in new operations and improvements to existing ones, collaborating with clients and internal departments such as Business Development, Operations, IT, and HR.

Before that, from 1992 to 2004, Miquel held various roles at Exel, a global logistics operator. Miquel served as an Operations Manager and Center Manager in multiple operations and distribution centers for clients such as Carrefour, Schweppes, Punto Cash, P&G, Sunny Delight, Moët & Chandon, Friskies, Panasonic, and Dowe Edgberts.

Throughout their career, Miquel León has developed expertise in transport and logistics management, reverse logistics, account management, and project management. Miquel has worked with multinational companies and leading players in the industry, demonstrating their ability to adapt to different roles and responsibilities.

Miguel León's education history begins in 1999 when they enrolled at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and studied Administration and Business Management until 2004. In 2006, they pursued a Postgraduate degree in Financial Management at UPF Barcelona School of Management, which they completed in 2007. Later, in 2010, Miguel pursued another Postgraduate degree in Accounting Management and Control of Management at UPF Barcelona School of Management, completing it in 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Miguel León obtained certifications in various subjects. In June 2014, they received certification in Conflict Management and Effective Leadership from Cegos España. In November 2014, they acquired certification in Advanced Negotiation Skills from Scotwork España S.L. Lastly, in June 2015, they obtained a certification in Category Management from CHEP.
