Heather McTavish

Heather McTavish is an experienced academic and librarian with a strong background in library and information services. Currently serving as a Professor in the Library and Information Technician Program at Seneca Polytechnic since September 2023, McTavish previously held positions as a Liaison Librarian at Ontario Tech University and Durham College. Additional academic experience includes teaching courses at Seneca Polytechnic and working as a Teaching Assistant at Ontario Tech University. McTavish's professional history includes roles as a Librarian at the Toronto District School Board, Library Technician at the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and other government organizations. McTavish holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Digital Technology from Ontario Tech University, and a Master of Information Studies in Libraries and Archives from the University of Toronto.
