Mervyn Zhang

Mervyn Zhang currently serves as the Chief Operation Officer at Sengled since March 2021, overseeing all operational activities across two plants and both general and smart lighting products. Mervyn leads the product management center, which encompasses product management, industrial design, project management, and packaging design, while also heading the Design Quality and Testing center. Prior to Sengled, Mervyn was the General Manager at Zhejiang Howell Illuminating Technology Co., Ltd, responsible for P&L and company functions. Mervyn's extensive experience at Philips Lighting from 2006 to 2016 included roles as Industry Director and Project Management Office Manager, focusing on global operations, supplier management, and new product development. Earlier career roles also include project management positions at Motorola, Philips Mobile Display Systems, Philips Optical Storage, and Philips DAP Zhuhai. Mervyn began the professional journey as a Clerk at the Agricultural Bureau of Ningxia Province, China, after earning a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tianjin University of Technology in 1992.
