Sarah Cole has extensive experience in the fields of research, development, and operations management. Their most recent position is as the Chief Operating Officer at SENISCA, where they have been since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Non-Executive Director at a stealth startup from January 2023. Before that, Sarah was the President of SaLoCo Consulting starting from June 2022.
From October 2019 to June 2022, Sarah held the position of Vice President of Research & Development and Operations at TranSINE Therapeutics. Sarah also worked as a Partner at Takeda Ventures, Inc. (TVI) from January 2018 to October 2019. Prior to this role, they served as the European Investment Director at Takeda Ventures, Inc. from December 2016 to October 2019.
In addition to their corporate roles, Sarah has academic experience, having held the position of Visiting Professor at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health from November 2016 to October 2019. Before this, they were an Associate Director and Leader of the Neurodegeneration Group at Takeda Cambridge Neuroscience from November 2013 to December 2016. Prior to that, they held the position of Group Leader of Molecular Cell Biology and Senior Scientist at Takeda Cambridge from June 2009 to November 2012.
Sarah began their career as a Research Assistant Professor at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine from May 2005 to December 2008.
Sarah Cole completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Bath, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Subsequently, they pursued a PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Cambridge, which they successfully completed between 1998 and 2001.
