Tim Sebastian Schmidt has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Tim Sebastian is currently the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at SENISCA. Prior to this, they were the VP and Head of Translational Research at Sitryx, where they played a key role in driving candidate progression into the clinic through pre-clinical and translational research. Before Sitryx, Tim served as the VP Chief Translational Research Officer at TxCell, where they contributed to the company's translation research efforts. Tim Sebastian also worked at UCB as the Director of Clinical Strategy, leading the delivery of clinical and regulatory strategy for drug development programs. Tim gained valuable experience at GlaxoSmithKline, holding various positions including Group Leader/Translational Sciences Manager and R&D Manager in the Immuno-Inflammation TA-Experimental Medicine Unit. Tim Sebastian started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and Cancer Research UK. Tim also worked as a Consultant at BioMarin. Overall, they have demonstrated expertise in translational research, clinical strategy, and drug development throughout their career.
Tim Sebastian Schmidt pursued their education starting in 1998 at Heidelberg University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. Their academic journey continued at UCL, where they pursued a PhD in Developmental Biology from 2001 to 2006.
