Miguel Fontanilla

Miguel Fontanilla has extensive experience in platform engineering and cloud technologies, with a career spanning from network and systems engineering to DevOps and cloud engineering. At sennder, Miguel served as Staff Platform Engineering Lead and also held roles as Platform Engineering Lead and Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer from October 2020 to September 2023. Currently, Miguel is the Owner, Maintainer, and Collaborator of Kubes&Clouds, an educational blog focusing on modern IT technologies and trends. Prior to these roles, Miguel worked at Orange as a DevOps & Cloud Engineer, contributing to a cloud-native CI/CD platform, and at IBM as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer on a hybrid cloud project for Banco Santander. Earlier experience includes work as a Network & Systems Engineer at CTU 5G Laboratory, focusing on 5G technologies. Miguel holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague, and a Master of Engineering in Telecommunications from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
