Sasha Epelbaum has been working in the field of Machine Learning since 2021, when they began their role as Head of Machine Learning and ML Scientist at Sense Street. Prior to this, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at the Anti-Defamation League Tech and Society Team in 2020, and as an Associate Project Manager at Medwiser in 2020.
From 2016-2017, Epelbaum held several roles. They worked as a Gallery Guide at the Yale University Art Gallery, where they created and gave unique tours of the museum's collection and engaged visitors with different backgrounds. They also worked as a First-Year Outdoor Orientation Trip (FOOT) Leader at Yale Freshman Outdoor Orientation Trips (FOOT), leading groups of 8 incoming first-years on 6-day hiking expeditions each fall. Lastly, they held the role of Blanksteen Curatorial Fellow at The Jewish Museum, where they contributed to research for the award-winning Edith Halpert Exhibition and created a Data System to input relevant findings.
Epelbaum's work experience began in 2013 when they worked as a Student to Student (STS) Leader at Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
Sasha Epelbaum's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Yale University (2015-2019), a Summer Program in Organizational Behavior, Marketing and Accounting from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business (2018), a High School Diploma from Ethical Culture Fieldston School (2011-2015) and a Certificate in Art Law and its Market from Sotheby's Institute of Art.
