Prasad Akella has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Prasad most recently worked as a Senior Advisor and Head of Business Development in Southeast Asia for a confidential company. In this role, they developed market-specific entry models for renewable energy-based microgrids in Southeast Asia, negotiated and closed power purchase agreements, and successfully secured commercial projects in Myanmar.

Before that, Prasad served as the Head of Business Development and Sales in Southeast Asia for SenseHawk. In this position, they played a key role in driving business growth and expanding the company's presence in the region.

Prior to their time at SenseHawk, Prasad worked as the Business Development Director for Renewables in the Asia Strategic Business Unit of The AES Corporation. Prasad was responsible for developing and implementing renewable energy projects in Asia.

Prasad also has experience with SunEdison, where they held various roles including Country Director in the Philippines, Senior Manager of Business Development and Project Finance in Thailand, and Manager of Business Development and Project Finance in new markets. During their time at SunEdison, they led market entry efforts, developed solar PV project portfolios, and negotiated partnerships and financing agreements.

Earlier in their career, Prasad worked as a Product Development Manager at Unilever, where they successfully launched a new detergent product and led open innovation projects. Prasad also gained engineering experience at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited as a Production Engineer.

Overall, Prasad Akella has a strong background in business development, project finance, and renewable energy, with experience in Southeast Asia, the Philippines, Thailand, and other markets.

Prasad Akella's education history begins in 1995 when they attended SVBK for high school. Prasad completed their high school education in 1997. In 2000, Prasad Akella enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Chemical Engineering. Prasad successfully completed the program in 2004. Later in 2009, Prasad Akella joined the Indian School of Business, where they specialized in Finance & Marketing and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) by the year 2010.
