Ron Ramsey

Ron Ramsey has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles in the agricultural industry. Ron most recently worked at Sensei Ag as the Director of R&D Operations, leading research and development efforts focused on growing high-quality, nutritious, and flavorful fruits and vegetables in greenhouses and vertical farming spaces. Prior to that, Ron was the Global Controlled Environment Testing and Facilities Lead at Sensei Ag, where they managed research facilities in Davis, California, and across the company's production sites to provide nutrient-rich vegetable products to the market.

Before joining Sensei Ag, Ron worked at Bayer Crop Science as the Nursery Solutions Lead, where they managed greenhouse operations and growth chambers supporting research projects to enhance vegetable and row crops. Ron also oversaw the production of over 25,000 vegetable seedling flats and managed integrated pest management practices across Bayer Crop Science's greenhouse and field sites.

Prior to their time at Bayer Crop Science, Ron worked at Bayer Company as the Biotech/API Controlled Environment Manager for Bayer Crop Science. In this role, they managed greenhouses and controlled growth chambers for Bayer scientists to conduct research aimed at improving crop production and the world's food supply.

Ron's earlier experience includes working as a Production Manager at Village Nurseries, where they managed all production activities in a 250-acre horticultural nursery and oversaw production in a 20-acre facility in Brentwood, California. Ron also had a tenure at Imperial Nurseries, where they served as the General Manager, overseeing the daily functions of a 500-acre horticultural nursery and leading construction projects for loading docks, office buildings, and irrigation ponds. Prior to that, Ron worked as a Tech Services Manager at Imperial Nurseries.

Ron's early career began at Weyerhaeuser, where they held various roles including Nursery Research Manager, Nursery Manager, and Nursery Manager. These roles involved managing nursery operations and conducting research to improve nursery practices.
