Arnab Mukherjee

Principal Scientist at Sensei Bio

Arnab Mukherjee has a wealth of work experience in the field of molecular biology and chromatography. Theircareer began in 2001 as a student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they investigated the effect of various osmolytes on the stabilization of proteins. In 2005, they became a Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins University, where they investigated mechanisms of three different enzymes that use O2 as a substrate. From 2009 to 2012, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they engineered myoglobin from normal O2 binding protein. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Research Specialist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, where they implemented and optimized molecular biology and chromatography techniques and designed computer-aided drug discovery (CADD) research. Since 2021, they have been a Senior Scientist, Preclinical at Sensei Bio.

Arnab Mukherjee completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemistry at Jadavpur University from 1998 to 2001. Arnab then went on to pursue an MS in Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 2001 to 2003. After that, they earned their PhD in Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University from 2005 to 2010.
