Electrical Engineer

Job description

Electrical Engineer Do you thrive on designing and building electronics hardware? Are you an experienced and creative Electrical Engineer? Come help us build prototypes and design touchmodules for high volume products based on the world's most advanced touch technology.

Responsibilities

  • Create schematics, layout PCB for both internal and customer boards
  • Bring up and test full module prototypes at the system level
  • Work with fab and assembly suppliers to get boards fabricated and assembled, locally and overseas
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues in the factory and from the field
  • Work with distribution and IC suppliers to choose and procure parts
  • Work with mechanical engineers and firmware developers to create industry-leading smart surface devices that involve capacitive touch, force and electromechanical haptics

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering + 5 years of experience *or *MS degree in Electrical Engineering + 2 years of experience
  • Experienced in selecting components and creating electrical schematics and layout (Altium Designer preferred)
  • Understand board and system level communication interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, USB)
  • Knowledge and experience using standard electrical test tools including bench power suppliers, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters and function generators
  • Understanding and experience with PCB manufacturing process, DFM rules, PCBA assembly process and DFA rules for SMT
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and generating electrical bills of material(BOM)
  • Good technical communication skills
  • Ability to manage action items and deliver according to a schedule

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in consumer electronics design and touch sensor architecture
  • Understanding of haptics technology in consumer electronics device
  • HDI and rigid-flex PCB designs
  • Signal integrity, analog circuitry, and simulation
  • ESD testing and best design practices for EMC and reliability
  • Basic factory tests, including flying probe, X-ray and ICT

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
