Claude Holenstein

Program Manager at Sensirion

Claude Holenstein has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. They began their career as an Intern at H.H. Angus & Associates Ltd. in 2008 before joining Oerlikon Solar as an Intern the following year. During their internship, they independently managed a project that resulted in a significant reduction in manufacturing costs.

In 2010, Claude worked as a Visiting Master Student and Industrial Trainee at CSIRO, where they gained valuable experience in research and industry collaboration. They then joined Universitätsklinik Balgrist as a Research Assistant from 2012 to 2013.

Claude's academic pursuits continued as a PhD student at ETH Zurich from 2013 to 2018. Alongside their studies, they worked as a Scientific Advisor and Software Engineer at Microduits from 2014 to 2018.

In 2014, Claude also took on a leadership role as the President of the Local Committee Zurich at IAESTE Switzerland. They demonstrated their leadership skills by successfully leading the committee for the entire year.

Following their PhD, Claude joined Telejob in 2017 as the Vice President of Business Strategy. In this role, they contributed to the company's business growth and development.

From 2018 to 2022, Claude worked at Cutiss AG, first as the GMP Manufacturing Manager and Senior Automation Team Leader. They were responsible for the manufacturing of autologous skin grafts for phase II clinical trials and played a key role in the implementation and certification of a new GMP manufacturing facility. Additionally, they managed the manufacturing and logistics teams, developed automation prototypes, and oversaw grant management and intellectual property management.

Currently, Claude works as a Program Manager at Sensirion, a role they started in 2023.

Claude Holenstein has an extensive education history in various fields. From 2005 to 2008, they attended ETH Zürich and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Building upon this foundation, Claude pursued higher education and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich between 2009 and 2011. Their educational journey culminated in a Doctor of Science - PhD degree in Biomechanics from the same institution from 2013 to 2018. Throughout their academic career, Claude focused on engineering and biomechanics, showcasing a dedication to acquiring knowledge and expertise in these domains.
