David Heim

Associate Digital IC Designer at Sensirion

David Heim began their work experience in 2011 with an apprenticeship at SAMB, where they gained experience in PCB prototyping, microcontroller programming, and general lab work. From 2016 to 2018, David worked as a Math and Electrotechnics Coach at CoachApp & AppApp soutien aux apprentis, providing assistance to apprentices in those subjects. In 2018, they completed an internship at EPFL's BIOROB lab, focusing on PCB designing, microcontroller programming, and PCB manufacturing for a robot localization system. In 2021, David had a seven-month internship at IBM, working on the design of cryogenic CMOS circuits for quantum computing. From 2022 to 2023, they worked at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne on their Master's Thesis in IC design, where they developed solutions to minimize power consumption in embedded DRAM memories. Currently, they are working at Sensirion as a Junior Digital IC Designer.

David Heim is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a specialization in Bioelectronics at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), starting in 2020 and expected to be completed in 2022. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University Singapore, where they studied from 2019 to 2020. David also holds another Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from EPFL, where they attended from 2017 to 2020. Additionally, David completed an apprenticeship in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SAMB during the years 2011 to 2015.
