David began their career as a Teaching Assistant at EPFL, where they taught mathematics, geometry, physics, and updated engineering course scripts. In 2012, they joined Norsk Hydro as a Master's student, focusing on the effect of phosphorus on aluminum-silicon foundry alloys. David conducted research on nucleation and growth of the silicon phase and performed mechanical testing.
After completing their Master's degree, David worked as a Project Engineer in Welding Technology at Kraftanlagen Group for a year. David then transitioned to Novelis, where they held two roles. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as an R&D Engineer, and from 2017 to 2021, they served as an R&D Metallurgy Scientist, specializing in metallurgy research.
Most recently, David joined Sensirion as an R&D Engineer in 2021.
David Leyvraz attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2007 to 2010 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials science. From 2009 to 2010, they also participated in an Erasmus program at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where they continued to study Materials science. After completing their Bachelor's degree, David Leyvraz pursued further studies at EPFL and obtained a Master of Science degree in Materials science from 2011 to 2013.
