Joel Hernandez has work experience as a Junior Design Engineer at Sensirion starting from March 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Schweizer Armee as a Hauptfeldweibel from January 2018 to November 2019. Joel also worked at Rheinmetall Defence, where they held the positions of Konstrukteur from August to December 2017, and Konstrukteur EFZ from August 2013 to August 2017.

Currently, Joel is enrolled at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, pursuing a Bachelor (FH) degree in Wirtschaftsingenieur ¦ Innovation, which they are expected to complete by 2024.
