Marina de Queiroz Tavares

Senior ASIC Designer & Project Leader at Sensirion

Marina de Queiroz Tavares has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Marina started their career in 1999 at Philips Semiconductors, where they worked as a project manager and system architect. In this role, they managed IC design projects and oversaw the planning, tracking, and execution of projects across multiple sites. Marina also played a key role in the competence development of team members.

In 2007, Marina joined ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences as a senior lecturer. Marina taught Signal Processing and Telecommunications to undergraduate electrical engineering students. Additionally, they were responsible for promoting diversity and STEM within the School of Engineering. Marina also collaborated with industrial partners on projects related to their field of expertise.

Currently, Marina is a senior ASIC designer and project leader at Sensirion. Marina is part of the digital design group and is responsible for custom ASIC design for all Sensirion products. Marina also leads innovation projects within the company.

Marina de Queiroz Tavares obtained their Master's degree in Microelectronics from INSA de Lyon in 1995. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Electrotechnics and Electronics at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, completing their studies in 1995. After obtaining their Master's degree, they continued their education at INSA de Lyon/Philips Semiconductors, where they completed their PhD in Microelectronics in 1999.
