Mirja Richter

Mirja Richter has a diverse work experience in the fields of patent management, intellectual property (IP), research, and academia. Mirja started their career in 2004 as a PhD student at CNRS, where they focused on studying long wavelength emitting quantum dots. Mirja then moved on to Ruhr-Universität Bochum as a PhD student, where their research centered around overgrowth of quantum dots and doping patterns. In 2008, they joined IBM Zurich Research Laboratory as a PostDoc and later became a Research Staff Member, working on various research projects. Since 2013, Mirja Richter has been associated with Sensirion, initially as an IP Manager and currently serving as the Head of Patent Management. Mirja Richter has a diverse education history. Mirja obtained a Diploma on Patent Litigation in Europe from the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies - CEIPI in 2017-2018. Prior to that, they studied European Patent Law at the same institution in 2014-2015. In terms of their scientific background, Mirja earned a Dr. rer. nat. degree in Physics from Ruhr-Universität Bochum & Université Nice Sophia Antipolis from 2004 to 2007. Mirja also holds a Diplom (Master) in Physics from Ruhr University Bochum, which they obtained in 1999-2004. As part of their studies, they spent a year (2001-2002) at the University of Sussex as an ERASMUS exchange student, pursuing Master studies in Physics. Additionally, Mirja Richter has obtained two certifications: "Verträge im Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz" from FORUM Institut für Management GmbH in December 2018 and "IP Manager" from the same institution in January 2014.
