Scott Newell has a diverse work experience spanning over 12 years. Scott began their career in the US Navy as a Naval Petty Officer (Surface Warfare) from 2009 to 2013. After leaving the Navy, Scott joined Royce Instruments in 2017 as a Technical Sales Manager and remained in that role until 2020. In 2019, they also became a Member of the Board of Directors at Benicia Yacht Club, serving until 2021. In 2020, Scott transitioned to Sensirion, where they initially worked as an Area Sales Manager for two years before assuming the role of Manager Strategic Partnerships in January 2022.
Scott Newell attended California State University Maritime Academy from an unknown start year to an unknown end year, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation. Scott later pursued a Master of Science degree in Transportation & Engineering Management at the same institution from 2018 to 2020.
In addition to their formal education, Scott Newell has obtained various certifications. In October 2017, they earned the Salesforce Administrator certification from Salesforce. In December 2017, they obtained the Merchant Mariner Credential from the U.S. Coast Guard. Scott also holds the Third Mate certification from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, though the exact month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
Scott Newell further expanded their skillset by completing the Miller-Heiman Strategic and Conceptual Sales Training from Korn Ferry in August 2020. Additionally, they acquired the USPA A License from the U.S. Parachute Association in July 2023.
