Thomas Kuschel began their work experience in 2006 as a Softwareentwickler at Thermo Fisher Scientific Messtechnik GmbH, where they worked until 2012. In 2008, they also served as a Krav-Maga-Trainer at Learn2Fight Erlangen until 2012. In 2012, they joined Sensirion as a Software Engineer and later became a Teamleader Software. From 2018 to 2020, Thomas worked as a Projektleiter Software, where they were responsible for a Manufacturing Execution System based on SAP ME. Then, from 2019 to 2021, they took on the role of Scrum Master at Sensirion.

Thomas Kuschel completed their education from 2000 to 2006 at Technische Universität Chemnitz, where they obtained a Diplom Informatiker degree in Angewandte Informatik. In addition to their formal education, Thomas has also pursued certifications in various fields. These include Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2023, Agiler führen – eine Einführung from LinkedIn in February 2022, DevOps Fundamentals from PeopleCert in November 2021, Professional Scrum Master II from Scrum.org in December 2019, and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in December 2018. Thomas also participated in courses such as Professional Scrum Master™ Level II and Professional Scrum Master at Digicomp Academy in November 2019 and December 2018, respectively. Furthermore, Thomas holds additional certifications as a Civilian Krav Maga Instructor, Kids Krav Maga Instructor, and Combat and Fighting Instructor from Krav Maga Global, and they achieved the AOWD certification from PADI in May 2003.
