Thomas Uehlinger has a diverse work experience in the field of sensor innovation and gas sensors. Thomas started their career at ETH Zurich as a Research Assistant from February 2009 to January 2014, and later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher from February 2014 to August 2014. In 2014, they joined Sensirion as an R&D Engineer in Sensor Innovation, where they contributed to the development of gas sensors until December 2017. From December 2017 to January 2021, they served as an R&D Project Manager for gas sensors at Sensirion. Currently, they hold the position of a Senior R&D Project Manager for gas sensors at Sensirion, starting from January 2021. In addition to their industry experience, they also served as the Head of the Academic Committee for the International Physics Olympiad from January 2014 to September 2016.
Thomas Uehlinger began their education journey at Kantonsschule Glattal, where they completed their high school education from 1996 to 2002. During this time, they focused on physics and applied mathematics. Continuing their academic pursuits, Uehlinger attended ETH Zurich for their undergraduate studies, completing their Master of Science (MSc) degree in physics from 2003 to 2008. Additionally, in 2005, they briefly studied at The Australian National University, earning a Master's Degree in physics. Uehlinger's dedication led him to pursue a higher level of education, and they returned to ETH Zurich for their doctoral studies. From 2009 to 2014, they worked towards obtaining their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in physics. Uehlinger's education history demonstrates their commitment to the field of physics and the knowledge and expertise they have acquired over the years.
