Bruno Carreel

CTO, R&D Manager microelectronics at Sensome

Bruno Carreel began their career in 2010 as an Equipier SAV et Incendie at BMPM. In 2012, they became a Stagiaire at Be Sport, Inc. In 2013, they worked as an Intern at the PCF group in University of Twente, trying to reach a liquid perfect lenses by electrowetting for application in smartphones. Bruno also worked as an Experimentation on plasmon assisted catalysis at the Optics Laboratory, EPFL. At the same time, they were a Laboratoire de dispositifs photoniques appliqués at EPFL, where they worked on a project to develop a prototype of a pair of augmented reality glasses. In 2014, they worked as an Electrical and optical engineer at Composyt Light Labs SA, developing a miniaturized light source to be embedded in augmented reality glasses. Additionally, they were the CTO and R&D Manager microelectronics and Directeur de la technologie at Instent.

Bruno Carreel obtained a Master's degree in Microtechnique from EPFL from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Physics from École Polytechnique from 2010 to 2013.
