Riemer Smink

Riemer Smink currently serves as Managing Partner and Co-Founder of FORWARD.one, a venture capital firm established in 2017 that focuses on early-stage startups at the intersection of hardware and software. In addition to this role, Riemer maintains positions as an investor and board member for several companies, including Sensorfact, ROCSYS, and DAB.bio. Riemer also previously invested in Mayht Technologies until its acquisition by Sonos. Prior professional experience includes serving as Chief Investment Officer at Wereldhave from 2015 to 2016 and as Director at Kempen & Co Corporate Finance from 2010 to 2015, where Riemer led multiple M&A and strategy projects across Europe. Earlier in Riemer's career, roles included Asset Manager Development at AM and the co-creation of a semi-automated market research system. Riemer holds a Master of Science in Economics from Nyenrode Business University and a Bachelor of Arts in Interaction Design from HKU.
