CTO, co-CEO at Sensoterra

Ellery Rijkaart has extensive experience in the engineering and management fields. Ellery began their career in 1998 as a project engineer and work package manager for Stork Fokker AESP. In 1999, they moved to Fokker Aerostructures as an engineer. From 2001 to 2005, they worked as a conceptual design engineer for Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In 2007, they became a programme manager for Marshall Aerospace and a work package manager for Gulfstream Aerospace. From 2010 to 2021, they were the Director of Well Planet B.V., which aims to offer thousands of people in America, Africa and Asia improve their livelihoods and their environment by planting trees. Currently, they are the CTO and co-CEO of Sensoterra, which develops wireless soil moisture sensors for smart farming and landscaping optimization.

Ellery Rijkaart has completed a degree in ing. Luchtvaart- en ruimtevaarttechniek / Aerospace engineering / Aeronautical engineering from Inholland University of Applied Sciences. Ellery is also a NIMO MSP - Practitioner and has completed the Practisch Project Management 1 (PPM 1) course from NIMO PPM 1.
