Anna James

Anna James currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Government & Community Relations at Sentara Healthcare, a position held since October 2016. Previously, Anna held the role of Policy Director at the Office of Governor Terry McAuliffe and was a Manager of State Government Affairs at Troutman Sanders LLP, where strategic government relations consulting was provided on healthcare and various other sectors. Anna also served as Director of Government Relations and Health Policy at Virginia Commonwealth University, advocating for one of Virginia's largest educational institutions. Earlier experiences include Director of Policy at the Virginia Association of Health Plans and Special Assistant to the Governor for Policy under Governor Mark R. Warner. Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Virginia Tech and an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
