Christina Nuckols

Christina Nuckols currently serves as the Director of Health Policy and Director of Government Relations at Sentara Health, beginning in January 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Strategic Communications at the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services from January 2019 to January 2023, and as the Media Relations Manager at the same agency from January 2018 to January 2019. Christina also worked as the Director of Community Relations at Richmond Memorial Health Foundation from November 2016 to January 2018, and held positions at the Office of the Governor - Commonwealth of Virginia, including Deputy Communications Director from December 2014 to November 2016, and Communications Advisor at the Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Resources from May 2014 to December 2014. Prior to these roles, Christina served as the Editorial Page Editor at Roanoke Times and as an Editorial Writer at VA Pilot. Christina holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Randolph-Macon College and a Master of Science in Communications from Ohio University.
