Michael Hooper

Michael Hooper serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs, Chief Academic Officer, and Chief Medical Officer at Sentara Healthcare since January 2019. Concurrently, Michael holds the position of Associate Professor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School since July 2011, previously serving as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. Michael's past experience includes a role as a Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center from July 2004 to July 2011, where Michael completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as serving as a Resident Physician in an Internal Medicine Categorical Program. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation and a Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, as well as a degree from Dartmouth College.
