John Doerr

John Doerr has extensive experience in aviation and operations. In 2023, they began working as the UAS Operations Lead for Sentera. From 2019-2023, they worked as an Aviation Planner/UAS Pilot for TKDA, where they served as the lead UAS pilot planning and flying a 500+ acre aerial survey to collect data for preliminary roadway design. From 2016-2019, they worked as an Airport Planner II and Airport Planner for AECOM. From 2015-2016, they were an Inflight Intern for Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. and an Undergraduate Intern for Valkaria Airport, where they assisted with the master plan update including paperwork for JPL funding and performed daily checks of perimeter and runway. Prior to this, they worked as a Resident Assistant at Florida Institute of Technology, where they enforced school policy through daily duty nights patrolling the resident hall and developed inclusive educational and social programs for residents.

John Doerr obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations from the Florida Institute of Technology between 2012 and 2016. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Fall Protection Training from TKDA in December 2020, New Miner from the Mine Safety and Health Administration in December 2020, Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, and Part 107 - sUAS Remote Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
