Ramya Krishnan has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Ramya currently works as an Analytical Development Scientist II at Senti Biosciences since 2022. Prior to that, they were an Analytical Automation Scientist at Sana Biotechnology, Inc. from 2021 to 2022.
Ramya has also held positions at Cytiva (formerly GE Life Sciences) as a Senior Associate Scientist Process Development from 2020 to 2021, where they were the technical biology lead for a Global New product introduction (NPI) and provided expertise in CAR-T and TCR processes.
Before that, they worked at GE Healthcare from 2016 to 2020, where they focused on building and leading process development initiatives for large-scale expansion of T cells and NK cells. Ramya also played a role as a Research Associate II at The Hospital for Sick Children/ The Centre for Phenogenomics from 2015 to 2016, contributing to research goals in an international consortium.
Ramya's earlier experiences include working as a Clinical Research Technologist at Hematology/Translational Lab, University of Calgary from 2012 to 2014, and as a Research Intern in Quality Control Departments at Wockhardt in 2008, Shasun in 2007, and MS Swaminathan Research Foundation in 2006.
Ramya Krishnan has a diverse education history. Ramya began their academic journey at Vidya Mandir, where they earned a High School Diploma with a field of study in Human Biology. Following this, they attended SRM University from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology Engineering. Continuing their education, Ramya Krishnan pursued a Master's degree in Neurosciences at the University of Calgary, which they completed from 2010 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Ramya has also obtained various certifications, including an Advanced Animal Handling Certificate from The Hospital for Sick Children in 2015, an Animal Handling Certificate from the University of Calgary, Biosafety II Certifications also from the University of Calgary, a Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Specimens Certification from Jackie Spain, and a WHIMIS Certification from the University of Calgary.
