Haodong (Howard) Chen is a Bioinformatics Scientist at Sentieon Inc. since March 2018. Previously, Haodong Chen served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University School of Medicine, focusing on human induced pluripotent stem cells for heart disease research from December 2014 to March 2018. Additionally, Haodong Chen worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar and Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA from September 2008 to November 2014, studying heart hypertrophy in Dr. Vondriska's lab. Teaching experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for both PHYSCI 125: Molecular Systems Biology and LIFESCI2: Cells, Tissues, and Organs at UCLA. Earlier research involvement occurred as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China from January 2006 to May 2008, where Haodong Chen led a project on membrane receptor behavior in natural killer cells. Haodong Chen obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular Physiology from UCLA and a BS in Biotechnology from the University of Science and Technology of China.
