Zhipan Li

Zhipan Li has had a diverse work experience, beginning with a Research Assistant role at Yale University in 2000. Zhipan then went on to a Research Assistant role at the University of California San Diego in 2002, followed by a Postdoctoral Associate role at Cornell University in 2006. In 2008, they began a Staff Engineer role at ASML-Brion, where they developed and supported the most successful Source-Mask Optimization product in the semiconductor industry. Zhipan then moved on to a Senior Staff Engineer role at Founton Technologies - AllYes in 2012, where they developed and supported targeting modeling and production flows for ad delivery, as well as inventory forecasting and allocation management for publishers, ad network and demand-side platform. In 2014, they began a Staff Engineer role at Alibaba Inc., where they developed a personal recommendation algorithm and for flash-sale merchandises at ju. taobao. Lastly, they are currently in a Principal Engineer role at Sentieon Inc., which they began in 2016.

Zhipan Li received their BS in Physics from Peking University in 2000, followed by an MS in Physics from Yale University in 2002. Zhipan then earned their Ph. D. in Physics from UC San Diego in 2006.
